On 9 January 2026, TYT Ambassador Hendy Assan and spouse attended the presentation of New Year Greetings with His Holiness Pope Leo XIV and the Secretariat of State of the Vatican.
Prior to the presentation of the New Year greetings, Pope Leo XIV delivered his first annual address to the diplomatic corps accredited to the Holy See, traditionally known as the “State of the World” address.
