YB Datuk Liew Vui Keong, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Law and Parliamentary Affairs) paid a working visit to Rome from 27 - 30 November 2018 with the purpose of attending the XI International Congress of Justice Ministers co-organised by the Community of Sant' Edigio, Ministry of External Affairs and International Cooperation Italy, Swiss Conference and International Organization of La Francophoni.
While in Rome, YB Minister Liew paid a courtesy call on His Eminence Cardinal Peter Turkson, Prefect for the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development on 27 November 2018 at Palazzo San Calisto, Vatican City. Both sides had a fruitful discussions on the abolishment of the death penalty, promoting justice and peace, migration and Sustainable Development Goals.
