A Book of Condolence was opened at the Embassy on 24 and 27 May 2019 on the passing of Almarhum Paduka Ayahanda Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta'in Billah, the former Sultan of Pahang and the seventh Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia. Most Reverend Monsignor Joseph Murphy, Head of Protocol of the Secretariat of State of The Holy See, as well as ambassadors and representatives of Embassies accredited to The Holy See came to sign the book and pay their respects.
