The Ambassador of Malaysia to The Holy See, His Excellency Bernard Giluk Dompok met Brother Robert Schieler, Superior General of the Lasallian Brothers in Rome on 24 June 2016. The Christian Brothers of La Salle was one of the largest order of the Catholic Church comprising congregation of male non-clerics devoted to schools, learning and teaching.
La-Salle Institutions has presence in 80 countries including Malaysia with over 1 million students worldwide benefitting from education offered by the Institutions. Both sides exchanged views on possible areas of cooperation in the education sector given that education is key towards promoting peace and development.
