Malaysia firmly rejects any malicious attempt to misinterpret its long-standing political support and humanitarian efforts for the Palestinian people. Since independence, Malaysia’s foreign policy has been anchored in peace, justice, respect for the United Nations Charter and international law, and peaceful co-existence among nations. Guided by these principles, Malaysia has consistently opposed colonisation, foreign occupation, gross violations of international law, apartheid, and other injustices. Malaysia’s unwavering support for Palestinian peace, freedom, and independence, alongside its strong opposition to Israel’s occupation and genocide, is firmly rooted in these universally recognised principles.
Malaysia will continue to work with the international community in pursuit of peace, justice, and humanitarian relief for Palestinians, with the ultimate goal of establishing an independent and sovereign State of Palestine based on pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. Malaysia also stresses that accountability is essential for lasting peace, and that Israel must be held responsible for its ongoing crimes and persistent violations of international law.
