Mr Shaharuddin Onn, the Deputy Director General, Department of Maritime Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia and Consul General participated the 4th East Asia Summit Conference on Maritime Cooperation which was held at Taj Connemara, Chennai from 6-7 February 2020.
The two days conference was organised by the Ministry of External Affairs India in collaboration with the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) and National Maritime Foundation (NMF), New Delhi. The EAS has, in the 13 years since its inception, gained considerable relevance through its shared vision of peace and prosperity. The Conference serves as a platform for free and open dialogue among all the EAS partners on various issues of maritime security cooperation and challenges in the maritime domain.
