Chairperson and Members of PERWAKILAN Chennai Visited a location site for Tamil Movie Shoot on Thursday 23 July, 2009

The Chairperson of PERWAKILAN Chennai Mrs. Mariyani Abdul Majid, accompanied by the members made a trip to visit the location of a Tamil Movie Shooting in Chennai on Thursday 23 July 2009.  Among the members joining the trip were Mrs. Azira Mohd Adni, the Secretary of PERWAKILAN, Mrs. Leela, wife of the President, MASI (Malaysian Association for South India) and other committee members.

The trip is part of the PERWAKILAN program for the members to gain more knowledge about the film industry in South India. The visit is the first of its kind to see first hand how the film making is done in Kollywood (film for regional language in South India).  At the location the film producer Mr. Manickam Narayanan from Seventh Channel briefed the story of the film Vitthagan and explained how the shooting takes place. The film Vitthagan is being directed by Mr. Parthiban a very prominent film Director in Kollywood.  At the film location the Consul General was also present.
