21 November 2025 :- The Consulate General of Malaysia in Chennai warmly hosted the Deepavali Get-Together 2025 in a vibrant and festive atmosphere.
The celebration was graced by Mr. K. Saravana Kumar, Consul General of Malaysia in Chennai, who officiated the event with the traditional lighting of the lamp (Kuthu Vilakku), accompanied by Heads of Agencies and representatives of the Malaysian diaspora.
Guests enjoyed a delightful spread of Deepavali favourites, including a Live Dosa and Puri Counter, Malaysia-style Curry Mee and Chinese Fried Rice specially prepared by our Chef Rajesh Khanna, assorted sandwiches, and many more treats—along with a special Malaysian-style BBQ.
Members of the business community, HBS staff and their families, LRS families, and the Malaysian diaspora in Chennai came together for a wonderful evening of joy and togetherness.
In his speech, the Consul General highlighted the significance of the Malaysia Madani concept, emphasizing unity, compassion, and shared prosperity as core values that continue to guide our community at home and abroad. The event concluded with warm fellowship, cultural appreciation, and a renewed sense of connection among all who attended.
