20 September 2023 :- The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Malaysia, YB Senator Fuziah Salleh led a delegation of 7 franchise companies from Malaysia to a Special Franchise Business Mission to Bengaluru, India from 20 - 24 September 2023. A Seminar on Franchise Sector in Bengaluru was held on the 20 September at the Shangri-La Hotel followed by business to business meeting programme with Bengaluru based Indian companies. YB Senator Fuziah in her speech highlighted that India, as a rising economic power, offers high potential for trade growth between both countries. In this regard, she hoped that more Malaysian franchise companies could expand into the huge Indian market and welcome Indian franchise companies to explore opportunities for doing business in Malaysia. The Consul General, Mr. K. Saravana Kumar accompanied the Deputy Minister during the event and delivered welcoming remarks.
