International Mother Language Day Celebration on 21 February 2023, Chennai
"A language is not just words." It's a culture, a tradition, a unification of a community, and a whole history that creates what a community is.
Deputy High Commission of Bangladesh, Chennai has invited the diplomatic community to join the International Mother Language Day (IMLD) celebration.
PERWAKILAN Chennai (Ladies Association) represented the Consulate General of Malaysia and elegantly performed the "Rasa Sayang" folk song together with a few pantun to reflect the diversity of the cultures and our national language.
The performance received tremendous applause from everyone that attended the event.
This social interaction helps to promote Malaysia's culture and unique diversity around the world.
Merantau kami ke bumi Chennai,
Demi tugas dan amanat negara tercinta,
Pelbagai bahasa, pelbagai karya dan seni,
Lambang kebanggaan negara kita.
