MEMBERS OF PERWAKILAN JOIN HANDS TOGETHER IN PREPARATION OF HARI RAYA
The Chair person of PERWAKILAN in Chennai and its members organized a small gathering among themselves at the residence of the Consul General on Saturday evening 19th September preparing special dishes which are called Bakar Lemang. The event was very significant for the Malay community and muslims in Chennai because the programme of Bakar Lemang brings the environment and feeling of festivity for the celebration of incoming Eid.

The idea to organize the programme Bakar Lemang is very interesting since the Malaysian family living in Chennai were really missing the mood of festivity of Hari Raya back home. The PERWAKILAN programme even though considered as a small activity but gives a good knowledge for those who do not have any experience how to Bakar Lemang. More importantly the programme is to give the basic knowledge for children how this kind of traditional Malay food is being cooked and served during Hari Raya since ages.
