4 August 2023 - Mr. K. Saravana Kumar, the Consul General of Malaysia in Chennai, inaugurated Tourism Malaysia’s Pavilion in the India International Travel Mart (IITM) being held in Chennai Trade Centre from 4-6 August 2023. The Consul General officiated the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Pavilion in the presence of six travel partners in South India.
The Consul General was also given the honour by the organiser, together with other dignitaries, to light up the lamp during the lamp-lighting ceremony, which symbolises the official opening of IITM 2023 in Chennai.
While at the IITM, the Consul General also took the opportunity to meet up with office bearers of The Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) and the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI).
The Consulate General wishes to extend its appreciation to these travel industry associations that have been instrumental in promoting inbound tourists from India to Malaysia.
