15 June 2024 : Mr. K. Saravana Kumar, the Consul General of Malaysia in Chennai, was the Guest of Honour at the International Plastics Exhibition held from June 14 to 17, 2024, at the Chennai Trade Centre. The event was a part of the Complete Plastics Exhibition (COMPLAST) program, which is a worldwide collaboration of plastic industry players. The COMPLAST in Chennai saw the participation of industry players from Kenya, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Vietnam. During the event, the Consul General, along with Mr. Callum Chen, President of the Malaysia Plastic Manufacturers Association, announced that Malaysia will be launching the inaugural COMPLAST in 2025. The event will be held from November 27 to 29, 2025, at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur. The Consul General welcomed everyone to Malaysia for the event.
