The American International School Chennai (AISC) Organised The International Day on Saturday 23rd May 2009

 

The PERWAKILAN Malaysia took part in the International Day organized by AISC on Saturday 23rd May 2009.  The President of PERWAKILAN Madam Maryani Abdul Majid and the members participated during the event by opening the food stall and providing Malaysian dishes.  All the Malaysian dishes such as Nasi lemak, Dadeh, Kuih Buah Melaka, Kuih Lapis, Ondeh-ondeh, Ketayap, Cucur undang, Mee hoon goreng, Agar-agar and many others were being served during the event. 

 

Besides Malaysia, many other countries also participated including the USA, Germany, Spain, Italy, UK, Mexico, The Philippines, Singapore, Republic of Korea, Japan, Thailand and the host country India.  The International Day has been organized annually by the School to promote a better understanding about the various cultures and food from all over the world.  All food during the event was served without any charges.
