The Consul General hosted an Iftar at his residence during the month of Ramadhan
The Consul General hosted an Iftar for HBS and families, LRS and other Malaysians living in Chennai at his residence on Saturday 29 August, 2009. Besides having Iftar the Consul General and guests also recited the Sura Yassin to get the blessings from the Almighty Allah during the month of Ramadhan.
Besides Malaysian muslims who attended the Iftar, the Consul General also extended the Iftar to the non muslim Malaysians as part of bringing the Malaysians together and living in harmony while abroad. Various Malaysian dishes and sweets including special ‘Bubur Lambok’ were served to the guests as a Malaysian traditional dish during the fasting month.
