11 November 2025 :- The Consulate General of Malaysia in Chennai successfully hosted the Malaysia Food and Cultural Festival at Asia Kitchen, Somerset Greenways, Chennai.
The event, held on 9 and 10 November 2025, was attended by around 100 guests, including members of the diplomatic corps, the business community, tourism partners, and friends of Malaysia.
The menu was specially curated by Celebrity Chef Rajesh Khanna, featuring a variety of non-vegetarian dishes such as Nasi Minyak, Mutton Ribs Calca, Mutton Paratel, Chicken Varuval, Iddi Sambal, and many more.
The vegetarian selection included Semmeh Veg Kurma, Malaysian Kampung Cabbage and Carrot Fry, Snake Gourd Poriyal, and several other traditional favourites.
Both days of the festival were made even more meaningful with cultural performances, including a traditional dance presentation by Persatuan Gerak Seni Tari, performed by Malaysian students in Belgaum, as well as traditional musical instrument performances by Persatuan Greentown Ipoh.
