The first Tourism Malaysia and MATTA Sales Mission 2023 to India was kicked off in Chennai on 30 January 2023, starting with a special address by Mr. Saravana Kumar, Consul General of Malaysia to South India, to the media representatives present for the press conference event and followed by the inauguration of the business-to-business meet.
The event was well attended by 150 Malaysian travel agents, local travel agencies, and media representatives. During the press meet, the Consul General, together with Tourism Malaysia and the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Representatives, took part in a press conference to share information about the Sales Mission 2023 and answer questions from the media.
