TOURISM MALAYSIA ORGANISES FIRST ROADSHOW
IN INDIA AFTER BORDER REOPENS FOR A QUARANTINE-FREE TRAVEL EFFECTIVE 1ST APRIL 2022 TO WELCOME FULLY-VACCINATED INTERNATIONAL TRAVELLERS
Malaysia has finally opened its border on 1st April 2022, marking the end of travelling restriction into the country. Leveraging this new development, Tourism Malaysia has decided to embark on its first road show to six major cities in India from 18th to 30th April 2022 and has the event in South India on 25th April 2022 at Hyderabad, 27th April 2022 at Bengaluru and 29th April 2022 at Chennai.
The mission was headed by Mr. Manoharan Periasamy, Senior Director of International Promotion Division (Asia & Africa) together with Malaysia’s tourism fraternity which consists of) Malaysia-based airlines, DMCs’ from Malaysia, hoteliers and Product owners. Representation from Tourism Malaysia, Chennai was Mr. Razaidi Abd Rahim, the Director for South India & SriLanka. Consul General of Malaysia, H.E. Dato’ Saravanan Karathihayan was felicitated by the Travel Associations in Chennai during the Networking event at Chennai, where he informed about Malaysia having relaxed Covid-19 SOP effective 01 May 2022, where fully vaccinated travellers and Children aged under 12 and below are exempted for pre-departure and on-arrival test.
