Working Visit of Dato’ Mohd Hashim Bin Abdullah, Secretary General, Ministry of Agriculture and Agro Based Industry, Malaysia and delegation to India from 6 – 9 May, 2012.
Dato’ Mohd Hashim Bin Abdullah, Secretary General, Ministry of Agriculture and Agro Based Industry, Malaysia accompanied by Nine (9) member delegation paid a working visit to Chennai from 6 – 9 May, 2012 to explore opportunities in particularly agriculture sector between Malaysia and India.
During the visit, the Secretary General and delegation had a dialogue session with the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) to discuss various fields of cooperation particularly on Poultry Feed Mill Industries.
The Secretary General also had a meeting with the Hon’ble S. Damodaran, State Minister of Agriculture and Mr. Sandeep Saxena, I.A.S., Secretary of Agriculture Department, State of Tamil Nadu. During the meeting, both sides agreed to enhance collaboration in poultry industry between the two countries. Malaysia requests assistance from the State of Tamil Nadu to help Malaysia by providing raw material for Feed Mill Industry in Malaysia. The delegation also visited Livestock Research Centre, Veterinary and Animal Science University, Chennai.
