Tehran hosted the 1st Asian Cooperation Dialogue on Cultural Cooperation on 9 – 10 May 2011. Malaysia’s delegation to the above conference was led by Amb. Mohd. Sadik Gany. The dialogue was aimed at promoting cultural and art exchanges among Asian nations given that Asia is the center of human culture and the cradle of ancient civilizations. Parallel sessions of three working committees were convened to elaborate on future mechanism of collaborations in the related field including Working Committee on Cinema, Theater, Radio and TV, Working Committee on Research and Publication and Working Committee on Anthropology and Cultural Interaction. India has offered to host the 2nd meeting of the ACD SOM on Cultural Cooperation.
