Amb. Sadik Gany was recently invited to the closing ceremony of the 3 month-long book reading competition organized by the Tehran Municipality. The organizer had chosen former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir’s book ‘Islam, Knowledge and other matters’ to be read, narrated and contested among the High school students. Amb. Sadik Gany in his remarks appreciated the Tehran City Council in acknowledging the work and contribution of Dr. Mahathir towards the Islamic Nations and his great achievement in transforming Malaysia from an agrarian economy to an industrialized economy. In closing, Amb. Sadik congratulated the organizer for inculcating the reading habits among the youths and later presented the prizes including a return air ticket to Malaysia to the winners.
