On 23 September 2025, the Ambassador of Malaysia, H.E. Khairi Omar, received a courtesy call from the newly appointed Ambassador of Brazil to the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. André Veras Guimarães.
The meeting served as an opportunity to establish personal rapport and goodwill between the two Ambassadors, while also fostering closer bilateral relations between Malaysia and Brazil.
During their discussion, both sides expressed interest in enhancing cooperation and mutual understanding, including exploring potential areas of collaboration through the BRICS platform. They also exchanged views on shared goals and issues of mutual concern, laying the groundwork for future engagements.
