MOU on Co-Operation in Public Sector Auditing, 17 April 2011, Tehran.

The National Audit Department of Malaysia and the Supreme Auditor Court of Iran signed a MoU on Co-operation in Public Sector Auditing in Tehran on 17 April 2011.  Dato Anwari Suri the Deputy Auditor General of Malaysia and Mr. Ali Ashagarpour, Deputy Senior President signed the MoU.  It is hoped that with the signing of the MOU, it would pave the way towards promoting greater technical cooperation between the two agencies including in exchange of information, experience and expertise on good practices and in improvement of technology, standards, practice and procedure of state especially in information technology (IT) audit, performance audit and environmental audit.  The MoU would also facilitate co-operation in the sphere of professional training for the improvement of professional standards of personnel including trainers.  The National Audit Department has signed similar MoUs with several other countries including Indonesia, Swaziland and UAE.
