YAB Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Timbalan Perdana Menteri was on a brief visit to Tehran on Sunday, 4 August 2013 to attend the inauguration ceremony of Dr. Hassan Rohani as the 7th President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. YAB TPM was among 40 foreign dignitaries presence including 10 Presidents, Vice Presidents, Prime Ministers, Deputy Prime Ministers and Speakers of Parliaments. YAB TPM also had the opportunity to pay a courtesy call on President Rohani in the evening after Iftar. Both leaders had expressed their optimism to foster a closer relations particularly in the economic field between Iran and Malaysia.
