The Mayor of Kuala Lumpur Dato’ Seri Ahmad Fuad Ismail led a delegation from DBKL for a three-day working visit to Iran beginning March 20, 2011. In Tehran, Dato’ Seri Ahmad Fuad paid a courtesy call on Mr. Mohamad–Bagher Ghalibaf, the Mayor of Tehran followed by meetings with the respective Deputy Mayor of Tehran. The delegation also visited several organizations run by the Tehran City Council including Tehran Municipality Radio Center, Milad Tower, Tehran Waste Re-cycle Center and Tehran Public Transport Control Center. The delegation later visited Isfahan province which hosted the sister-cities celebration.
