H.E. Dato’ Abdul Malek Abdul Aziz made a courtesy call on H.E. Mr Mohammad Tawfiq Al-Khalidi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on 8 February 2009. He was accompanied by Ms Wong Chia Chiann, Second Secretary.
The courtesy call was also joined by H.E. Mr Mohammed Ali Siraj, Director of Asian, African and Australian Affairs. Both sides reinstated Malaysia’s keenness to bring bilateral relations between Malaysia and Jordan to a greater height.
In his concluding remarks, H.E. Mr Al-Khalidi welcomed H.E. Dato’ Abdul Malek Abdul Aziz to Jordan and reassured that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan will extend its assistance to H.E. Ambassador-designate in performing his tour of duty in Jordan.
H.E. Ambassador-designate later presented a copy of the Letters of Credence to the Secretary-General.
