H.E. Ambassador Eldeen Husaini Mohd Hashim, Malaysian Embassy officials and our Malaysian community marked our nation's 64th independence in a small scale flag-hoisting ceremony on 31 August 2021. Conforming to social distancing requirements and Covid-19 preventive measures, the August ceremony saw Malaysians singing Negaraku, followed by a number of patriotic songs. Ambassador Eldeen warmly welcomed his Malaysian brothers and sisters to their "home away from home" through a special silat performance, and in his address congratulated everyone for being a beacon of perseverance, commitment and patriotism in Cambodia. A profound thank you to all involved in making this an absolute success. We look forward to seeing you at our next Merdeka celebration. Until then, let's continue to fly Jalur Gemilang high and proud!
