H.E. Datuk Eldeen Husaini Mohd Hashim paid a this morning. Both sides exchanged views on how to further promote and strengthen agricultural cooperation between Malaysia and Cambodia in the area of the development of agricultural resources and agricultural products, particularly rice. Malaysia and Cambodia signed MoU on Agricultural Cooperation on 9 December 2016. Both sides also discussed the possibility of an MoU between the two countries that would provide a framework for long-term agricultural trade and policies, as well as explore potential markets such as mango, sugarcane, and pineapple cultivation. The call was fruitful and H.E. Ambassador wishes for a successful 45th AMAF and related meetings that Minister Dith Tina will attend from 4-6 October in Kuala Lumpur. The Embassy will support and assist in the best way possible to strengthen agricultural cooperation between the two countries.
