Congratulations to the organisers and participants of the Malaysia Future Leaders School (MFLS) Tier III programme – Cambodia Chapter! The young participants have successfully come out of their leadership training programme with flying colours! This has certainly complemented their outstanding performances in the recently released SPM results.
In supporting the MFLS programme, the Embassy of Malaysia in Phnom Penh was pleased to be able to arrange a specialized briefing programme by our Heads of Agencies. We hope the briefings have given them interesting insights into the various roles and responsibilities of the Embassy. We also held a mock National Day reception, to give the participants some basic training on organising diplomatic functions, including the finer details on the arrangements that would usually go unnoticed.
These participants had also successfully undergone a foster family programme, spending a few days with a Cambodian foster family. This afforded them the chance to get to know the Cambodian way of life, discover unique differences in our cultures, as well as celebrate our similarities. Thank you MFLS for helping the embassy enhance people-to-people contacts between our two countries!
The week culminated in a cultural show, all organised and performed by the students themselves! The event was exceptional, full of fun and laughter with wonderful displays of cultural performances by the MFLS participants and Cambodian guest performers.
Congrats again to everyone!! It was certainly heartening to be able to meet our Nation’s future leaders. We wish you the very best in all your future endeavours. Do continue to make Malaysia proud!
