17 July 2025 – H.E. Shaharuddin Onn, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Kingdom of Cambodia, together with the Embassy staff, participated in and showed support for a screening session organised by Smile Cambodia.
Around 50 children with cleft lip, palate and other facial deformities were screened to identify suitable candidates for the free surgical procedures.
Led by the Executive Director, Mr Chang Kong Choy, who is a Malaysian, 3 other Malaysian medical volunteers - Dr. Lew Chee Kong, Dr. Stella Tan and Dr. Yoga Bhavani collaborated with the Cambodian team team led by Prof. Dr. Nous Sarom and HE Dr. Tea Sokleng.
