The 16th Annual Meeting of the Council of the ASEAN – Korea Centre (AKC) was successfully concluded on 21 February 2024 where Council members deliberated on a number of pertinent issues such as the programme of work, secondment of officers to AKC and the appointment of new Secretary-General of AKC. Malaysia was represented by Mr Fairuz Adli Mohd Rozali, Deputy Director-General of the ASEAN – Malaysia National Secretariat. Also present was Mr Nazarudin Jaafar, Charge d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Malaysia in Seoul. Members of the meeting expressed their profound gratitude to the outgoing Secretary-General of AKC for his immense contribution, notably, in steering the AKC during the challenging time posed by the spread of COVID-19.
