The Charge d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Malaysia attended the 2025 KITA Global Trade Forum held on 21 January 2025 at Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas which event was attended by approximately 120 participants. Also in attendance were the officers from MATRADE Office in Seoul. In his opening remarks, Hon. Ahn Duk-geun, Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) underscored the need by the Republic of Korea to take cognizant of the significant changes on global trade environment, notably, under the new administration in the US. Other speakers also spoke in similar breath urging all countries to build solidarity and strengthen alliances in pursuing their economic interest.
