The Executive Board of the ASEAN-Korea Centre convened its 54th Meeting on 25 April 2024 where in line with the rotation of ASEAN Chairmanship, Lao PDR assumed the role as the Chair of the meeting, taking over from Indonesia. Other than perusing the proposed programmes and projects that are to be implemented throughout the Financial Year 2024, members of the meeting had the opportunity to be formally introduced to the newly appointed Secretary-General of AKC, Ambassador Kim Jae-shin who succeeded Amb Kim Hae-yong with effect from 16 April 2024.
