Malaysia once again assumed the role as the Chair of the Executive Board of the ASEAN–Korea Centre (AKC) during its 58th meeting, held on 21 August 2025 at the AKC Secretariat in central Seoul.
The meeting focused on reviewing completed initiatives and discussing upcoming programmes planned for the remaining months of 2025. A comprehensive report on past activities was presented, highlighting the Centre’s efforts to promote ASEAN-Korea relations. Board members welcomed a number of forthcoming events aimed at strengthening ASEAN's visibility among the Korean public and enhancing people-to-people ties in the region.
