Malaysia participated in the recently held 7th Annual Policy Session on Disaster and Safety Management for Diplomatic Missions in Korea organised by the Ministry of Interior and Security (MOIS) on 10 September 2024 at BEXCO in Busan. The Deputy Chief of Mission represented the Embassy of Malaysia in Seoul and also in attendance were six senior officials from Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia (JBPM) as well as other attendees. Apart from the said Policy Session, Malaysia also participated in the K-Safety Expo 2024 that was held concurrently where other than the delegation from JBPM, there was also a delegation from the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) who was present to survey potential new safety equipment in addition to strengthening its relations with local counterparts.
