Representing the Minister of Communications, His Excellency Dato’ Mohd Zamruni Khalid, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Korea, led the Malaysian delegation to the APEC 2025 Digital and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Ministerial Meeting held at Songdo Convensia in Incheon. The Malaysian delegation included senior officials from the Ministry of Communications, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), and the Ministry of Digital Malaysia.
During the meeting, Dato’ Zamruni underscored Malaysia’s strong commitment to building an inclusive, secure, and forward-looking digital and ICT ecosystem. He highlighted the importance of international collaboration in navigating rapid technological advancements and ensuring that digital progress benefits all.
In line with Malaysia’s Chairmanship of ASEAN in 2025, the Ambassador also stressed Malaysia’s aspiration to strengthen regional digital cooperation, both within the APEC framework and through wider multilateral platforms to foster sustainable and inclusive growth across the Asia-Pacific region.
