H.E. Dato' Ramlan Ibrahim, the Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Korea was invited to deliver remarks at the AirAsia Open For Sale Announcement of its latest international route from Busan to Kuala Lumpur held in Plaza Hotel Seoul Korea on 16 April 2013. The first direct flight connecting the two cities will begin to fly to Gimhae International Airport, Busan from 15 July 2013 onwards with four weekly flights between Kuala Lumpur and Busan. In his short remarks, the Ambassador said that Malaysia welcomes the launching of the new route which would open another important connectivity, after Seoul, to help promote tourism both ways and also to enhance the bilateral relations between Malaysia and the Republic of Korea. He also mentioned that the new route would be able to increase tourism numbers and tap underserved markets in Busan and surrounding regions to Malaysia.
