On 11 May 2025, Malaysia, in its capacity as the Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Seoul (ACS) partnered with the Malaysian Students’ Association in the Republic of Korea (PPMK) organised the inaugural ASEAN SEAmposium 2025. The event took place at the Mugung Hall, Seoultech University in Seoul and was held as part of Malaysia’s ongoing efforts to promote ASEAN’s visibility, strengthen youth engagement, and foster a deeper appreciation of ASEAN’s significance among the younger generation, particularly ASEAN students residing in the Republic of Korea (ROK).
Additionally, the event received support from the ASEAN-Korea Centre, other ASEAN student associations in Korea, and the ASEAN Youth Network in Korea (AYNK). The symposium attracted over 150 participants, including student representatives from all ten ASEAN Member States, the ROK, and Timor-Leste, as well as officials from the ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC).
