On 3 September 2025, H.E. Dato’ Mohd Zamruni Khalid, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Korea held a fruitful meeting with Mr Woo Jong-soon, the Chairman of AsiaToday at the company’s headquarters in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. Also in attendance was the Deputy Chief of Mission and some members of the senior management of AsiaToday.
During the hour-long engagement, both sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, and explored potential areas of collaboration, particularly in the field of media and public diplomacy. The discussion also touched on the role AsiaToday could play, with the direct facilitation of the Embassy of Malaysia, in promoting greater awareness and understanding of Malaysia’s policies, culture, and perspectives to Korean and regional audiences. The meeting forms part of the Embassy’s broader initiative to enhance its media diplomacy efforts and build enduring partnerships with key media institutions in the Republic of Korea.
