MATRADE Seoul in collaboration with COEX organised a seminar on “Creating Awareness on the Rise of Halal Industry in the Republic of Korea (ROK)” in conjunction with the COEX Food Week 2023 at COEX, Seoul.
Charge D'Affaires of Embassy of Malaysia in Seoul, Mr. Nazarudin Ja’afar had the honour to deliver the welcoming remarks while Ms. Leany Mokhtar, Trade Commissioner of MATRADE Seoul, presented on the Halal industry in the ROK from Malaysia's perspective.
Three distinguished speakers were invited to impart their knowledge and share their experiences during INSP MIHAS 2023, as well as doing business in Malaysia, namely, Dr. James Noh, President of the Korea Institute of Halal Industry (KIHI), Mr. Bruce Lee, Head of Global Business Development, Sunjin Logistics and Ms. Kim Gyeong Hui, Manager of Saemi Corporation.
After the seminar, Mr Nazarudin spent time visiting Malaysian companies booth - MyGerak Global. Among the products showcased are home meal replacement, 3-in-1 beverages, sauces and paste.
