The Embassy of Malaysia in the Republic of Korea was privileged to receive a courtesy visit from the State of Sabah led by YB Phoong Jin Zhe, Minister of Industrial Development & Entrepreneurship of Sabah on 11 July 2023. It was a productive engagement on Sabah’s economic direction as well as surrounding business interests in Sabah. The delegation briefed H.E. Datuk Lim Juay Jin on the POIC Lahad Datu - An Emerging Logistics Hub for the East Asian Region and views were shared on Malaysia’s commitment towards clean and renewable energy in line with the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) agenda to drive meaningful and sustainable change through the implementation of leaner and smarter processes in the business landscape. Datuk Lim Juay Jin shared his thoughts on the strong interest by the Korean business communities in exploring projects and activities in Malaysia which could be described as resilient in the dynamic national ecosystem.
