Covid-19 Assistance from Hyundai Motor Group to the Government of Malaysia

5 August 2021: Hyundai Motor Group has agreed to contribute 100,000 KF94 masks to the Government of Malaysia to curb the increasing number of covid cases in Malaysia. This decision by Hyundai Motor Group was a result of close cooperation between the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE), Malaysian Embassy in the Republic of Korea and the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA Seoul) in order to reduce the spread of covid cases in the manufacturing sectors in Malaysia.

According to the Executive Vice President of Hyundai Motor Group that supply chain disruption has always been their major concern during the pandemic. Malaysia as one of the major exporter of semiconductor component to the world play a vital role in the Korea Manufacturing Industry.

The Handover Ceremony of Hyundai Motor Group COVID-19 assistance to the Government of Malaysia was attended by Mr. Ahmad Fahmi Ahmad Sarkawi, Chargé d'Affaires, Embassy of Malaysia, Mr. Kim Dongwook, Executive Vice President of Hyundai Motor and Mr. Park Jae Young, Director General of Manufacturing Sector, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE)
