The Embassy of Malaysia in the Republic of Korea with profound sorrow and grief wishes to inform the demise of His Majesty Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah of Kedah, the 14th King of Malaysia and the Ruler of the State of Kedah, on Monday, 11 September 2017 at 14.30 hours.
His Majesty served as the 5th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia from 1970 to 1975, and as the 14th Yang di-Pertuan Agong from 2011 to 2016. He was the first Sultan to reign as Yang di-Pertuan Agong twice. The Sultan of Kedah, Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah had passed away at the age of 89 on 11 September 2017.
