Embassy Visit by the Malaysian Contingent at the 7th Asia Pacific Deaf Games in Seoul
Several members of the Malaysian contingent to the 7th Asia Pacific Deaf Games in Seoul from 26 May to 2 June 2012 made a courtesy call at the Embassy of Malaysia on 29 May 2012. The team included athletes from the Malaysian Deaf Association and trainers and members from the Malaysian Sports Association of the Deaf led by its President Mr. Kamarzaman Haji Harun. H.E. Dato’ Ramlan Ibrahim, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Korea spoke to the Malaysian team members and assured the contingent of the Embassy’s support and assistance during their stay in Korea. The team was doing Malaysia proud by participating in the games and it was vital to keep up the spirit and energy throughout the games. The Malaysian contingent’s participation included badminton, football, bowling and athletics. Malaysia’s 56-member team to the games is the largest among ASEAN nations. The 7th Asia Pacific Deaf Games in Seoul attracted athletes and officials from 23 countries.
