On 31 January 2024, an interactive session was held between the Embassy of Malaysia in Seoul and the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy (MOTIE) of the Republic of Korea. The latter was led the Director-General for Free Trade Agreement Negotiation Division. Meanwhile, the Embassy of Malaysia was led by its Charge d'Affaires a.i. with the presence of officers from MIDA and MATRADE. Both parties exchanged views on the prospect of resuming the negotiation on Malaysia-Korea Free Trade Agreement (MKFTA).
