On 27 February 2025, MATRADE Seoul played host to an informal discussion with Bapak Chris Chang and Ibu Meisy Chang, co-founders of World Multicultural Cooperative Society based in Gimhae, Busan with the view to exploring business cooperation on the supplies of wood pellet, palm kennel shell powder and fermented grains from Malaysia to the Republic of Korea. Included in the agenda was the potential collaboration between the Embassy of Malaysia with Wastra, a dedicated gallery in Gimhae that showcases batik and other art work of the Nusantara. Also in attendance was the Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Malaysia in Seoul.
