H.E. Dato’ Ramlan Ibrahim, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Korea, hosted a welcoming lunch on 31 May 2012 for a group of senior officers from INTAN (National Institute of Public Administration) and the Institut Latihan Dewan Bandaraya (City Hall Training Institute)who arrived in Seoul on a special program to learn from the Korean experience and expertise in the area of Human Resources Development in the Public Service. The two-week program in collaboration with the Central Officials Training Institute of Korea (COTI), from 29 May to 6 June, is a new focus of the ongoing bilateral cooperation between Malaysia and Korea in the field of training since 1984.
In his remarks at the lunch, H.E. Dato’ Ramlan welcomed the new program as a watershed development for both Malaysia and Korea where the public service training institutions are able to share and exchange information and best practices to enhance the public service.
Among the guests at the occasion were Director General of the Office of International Training and Cooperation, COTI, Mr Yoo Euy-Sang, officers from COTI, Director of INTAN, Dr Aminuddin Hassan, Registrar of INTAN Haji Nik Ab Rashid Nik Mohamad and directors of branch campuses of INTAN. Embassy officers and heads of the various Malaysian agencies in Korea were also present at the lunch at a popular restaurant in Seoul.
