The Embassy of Malaysia in Seoul attended the 2023 Halal Hanwoo Promotion Dinner which was jointly organised by Korea Muslim Federation (KMF) and Hanwoo Board at Westin Josun Hotel on 4 December 2023. The said dinner was attended by members of the diplomatic corps as well as other invitees. Malaysia became the first market for halal-certified Korean beef following the close monitoring and collaboration established with the Department of Islamic Development of Malaysia (JAKIM). It is anticipated that such a move would pave way for greater collaboration with other Muslim countries around the world in the future.
