On 14 July 2025, the Embassy of Malaysia officially concluded its term as the Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Seoul (ACS) from January - June 2025. A simple ceremony was held to mark the symbolic handover of the gavel to His Excellency Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, who will serve as the Acting Chair of the ACS.
Throughout its Chairmanship, Malaysia led several key initiatives, aimed at enhancing ASEAN’s visibility in the Republic of Korea and strengthening ASEAN–ROK relations. The Embassy of Malaysia extends its sincere appreciation to all ASEAN Missions in Seoul and ROK partners for their support and collaboration, and looks forward to continued progress under the leadership of the incoming Chair.
