AirAsia X launched its inaugural flight from Incheon to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, on 5 March 2024. Operating daily with Airbus A320 aircraft, this new route underscores AirAsia's commitment to expanding its network growth in the Republic of Korea and represents a strategic move for AirAsia X to cater to the increased demand for travel between both destinations. Mr. Nazarudin Ja'afar, Charge d'Affaires at the Embassy of Malaysia, was honored to officiate the inauguration ceremony. Mr. Shaharuddin Yahya, Director of Tourism Malaysia Seoul, and Mr. Yang Hee-Chan, Country Manager of AirAsia X Korea, along with his team, were also present during the ceremony.
